Kenji Abeta is a dynamic rock guitarist based in Markham, Ontario, Canada with over 14 years of diverse musical experience. A proud Japanese-Canadian, Kenji brings a unique perspective to his craft, drawing from a wide array of genres, including blues-fusion, J-pop, and metal. His strong passion for music fuels his relentless pursuit of growth and innovation, making him a versatile and adaptive artist.
Throughout his career, Kenji has been involved in countless projects, from music videos and band tours to recording sessions, showcasing his ability to collaborate effectively with artists across various styles. Always eager to learn and evolve, Kenji continues to push his artistic boundaries, captivating audiences and leaving a lasting impact on the music scene.
Starting out at self taught then attending the School of Rock Markham, Kenji had the opportunity to play at some of the most prestigious venues in Toronto such as the Opera House, Velvet Underground, and even embarked on a week-long U.S tour. Upon graduating from the Music Industry and Arts Performance program at Centennial College, Kenji found himself expanding his horizons by writing and recording original music with artists such as Magna Vita and Rising Ronin and making a name for himself in The Jeff Beck Tribute with the Michael Murray Group.
Currently, Kenji is teaching one-on-one private guitar lessons independently both online and in person. The styles that he teaches range all the way from pop to metal and everything in-between.
